Nurse Job Duties:

  • Provide care to patients and service users based on their care plan outlined by their doctor
  • Accurately monitor and record observations on patients’ conditions
  • Maintain accurate records of service user care, financial procedures, and medication administration
  • Identify care planning needs
  • Record patients’ vital signs and medication administration records
  • Update patient records as conditions change
  • Consult and coordinate with other healthcare team members
  • Direct or supervise less experienced nursing staff
  • Monitor patients’ diet and exercise
  • Prepare patients and assist with treatments, surgery, or exams as needed
  • Manage stock of supplies
  • Ensure storage and disposal of medication is carried out according to policy
  • Assist with the investigation of complaints by patients or family members
  • Maintain continuing professional development and NMC revalidation requirements

Nurse Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Registered General Nurse or Similar Qualifications
  • Current Registration With the NMC
  • IV Skills, Including Syringe Driver Training and Venepuncture Training
  • At Least 1 Year Nursing Experience

About the Role

As a Health Care Assistant, you will assist elderly, recovering, or disabled service users with their activities of daily living. Your role will involve offering support and companionship, helping service users with self-care tasks such as toileting and hygiene, and communicating with their families to provide updates on their condition and progress. You will also provide advice on nutrition, hygiene, household activities, and other relevant areas.

Duties Include:

  • Cooking meals
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Performing light housework
  • Administering medication or prompting service users to take their medication
  • Providing emotional support
  • Documenting and record-keeping
  • Supervising medication

As a Care Coordinator at MCO Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing leadership to our care staff within the service. You will be responsible for delivering care in accordance with current best practices, policies, procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager. Your role will involve supervising the care delivery within the service and ensuring that skills are maintained at a current level through ongoing training and development.

Role-specific Duties:
The responsibilities of a Care Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensuring service users are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
  • Supervising staff and ensuring that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service
  • Organizing and coordinating care delivery according to best practices, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations under the direction of the Manager and within the financial plans
  • Ensuring that the care service is delivered to service users at the specified times and durations mentioned in the relevant individual agreement(s) and contract standards
  • Promoting and protecting the welfare of individuals supported by the service

Working with Others:
Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service and work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for service users.
