Our
Emblem
MCO Healthcare, had a transformative journey in its branding. Initially, we had a generic logo featuring our company name, but we sought to create a more captivating and meaningful emblem. We wanted a logo that would convey our dedication to putting our clients at the forefront of our care. After careful consideration, we landed on an elephant holding a heart with its trunk – a symbol that resonates deeply with our values and mission.
The elephant represents the strength and resilience our patients exhibit in the face of health challenges, as well as the memory and intelligence we bring to caregiving and treatment. Its gentle and nurturing nature embodies the compassion and empathy we strive to provide, while its protective instincts evoke a sense of safeguarding and care. Moreover, the elephant’s remarkable longevity reflects our goal of promoting healthy living and longevity for our patients.
The heart held by the elephant symbolizes our caring expression and nurturing approach, encapsulating our commitment to prioritizing our clients’ well-being. This logo not only visually represents our brand but also serves as a reminder of the values we uphold in our pursuit of delivering exceptional healthcare.

How
We Deliver Care
Assessing The Risk
Assessing The Need
If you have decided to have care provided in your own home, you will, of course, know that this carries some risk. The care worker is unlikely to be with you all the time, so you will not receive the same level of support as you would in a residential home, for example. On the other hand, you retain your independence, and many people find that, on balance, a measure of risk is worthwhile.
Nevertheless, we want to ensure that all parties involved comprehend the risks, have considered them responsibly, and that the risks to be undertaken are neither unreasonable nor unnecessary. So, with you, we carry out a risk assessment, weighing up the risks to be taken with the advantages. If it seems appropriate, we might make suggestions on how unnecessary risks can be minimised.
If someone comes to us from a social services department, the local authority care manager will have carried out an assessment of your needs before determining that domiciliary care, a service provided in your own home, is suitable for you.
A summary of this information, usually referred to as a needs assessment, will have been provided to us. If you have approached us directly, we need to make an assessment ourselves. To do this, we will need to ask you a considerable number of questions and likely request information from your caregiver, doctor, and any other specialists familiar with your health and needs.
The assessment will be conducted by staff who have received specialized training. We hope that you do not find the process by which we get to know your needs too intrusive.
We want to build a comprehensive picture, and we will do so as quickly and tactfully as possible. Remember, all the information will be treated confidentially. Our aim is always to ensure that we understand your needs and preferences regarding services, so that we can respond in ways that truly suit you.
Initial Referral
Service User Plan
When you realized that you needed care, you may have approached MCO Healthcare directly. Alternatively, the social services department, from which you initially sought help and which has accepted at least some financial responsibility, may have referred you to us. In either case, information about you that is passed to us will be dealt with sensitively and in confidence. Before providing any services, we will need to talk with you, the individual who will be receiving the service, possibly with your caregiver if there is one, and with the social services department that contacted us. At the very outset, we need to ensure that the services we provide are suitable for you.
After assessing your needs and the risks in the situation, we will then, with your input and that of your caregiver, develop a plan for the expected care delivery. It will specify the services we will provide, including details such as the timing of care worker visits, special tasks to be performed, and the objectives of the service provision, as well as how we plan to achieve those objectives.
REASSESSING THE NEED AND REVIEWING THE CARE
SAFEGUARDING
Of course, over time, your needs may change. You may need more or less care; the type or pattern of service may have to be varied, and new risks may become apparent. So, with your help, we will continue to monitor your needs and make care decisions accordingly. If at any time there are aspects of the care that you would like to change, please let us know.
MCO Healthcare continues to prioritise the safeguarding of its service users. It seeks to comply with all legal requirements in its safeguarding practices. It works closely with the local Safeguarding Adults Board on any issues related to the safety of its service users from any kind of harm, and with the Care Quality Commission when necessary.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND OUR RECRUITMENT STANDARDS
We are always keen to provide the best possible service. To achieve this, we continuously assess our performance by engaging with our staff and external stakeholders who can evaluate our work. Most importantly, we actively listen to our customers’ feedback. It involves:
An annual visit by a supervisor or manager to all service users to hear their views firsthand.
Regular supervision meetings between each care worker and their line manager.
An annual survey is conducted, typically in June, to gather the views and opinions of service users, and when applicable, their relatives or representatives.
Careful checks on all service user files, timesheets, and other records are essential. In addition to these opportunities, please feel free to share your views with us at any time. We need to know how we are doing, and you are best placed to tell us.
We take pride in our rigorous internal quality assurance and recruitment systems.
Our staff are required to have relevant qualifications and experience for the services they provide. These checks also include Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA), and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) checks, work history, qualifications, health declaration, experience, and references.
We then train all new employees to ensure that their performance aligns with our company standards. Their induction includes undergoing comprehensive compulsory training courses on manual handling, disease control, basic life support, fire safety, and medication administration.
MCO Healthcare monitors its workers’ performance through shadowing, annual audits, random checks, and regular supervision. We also comply with the Care Standards Act, the Regulation of Care Act, Department of Health Code of Practice, and all current National Framework Guidelines.
Our
Support Staff
We want to make sure that the MCO Healthcare team provides you and your family with the highest level of care and professionalism possible. Because of this, our managers and care coordinators are carefully selected based on their welcoming attitude, ease of access, and positive “can do” attitude.
Additionally, we place a high priority on professionalism and any relevant prior experience in the industry. They are familiar with the conditions of all of their clients and stay abreast of any developments in these situations.
Our senior members of the team work in collaboration with you and your loved ones to give consistent and comprehensive care in the comfort of your own home.
In recognition of the fact that carers too require assistance, we ensure that they participate in regular, confidential monitoring sessions. With access to an experienced member of the care team available at all times and around the clock, support and direction are always just a phone call away.
We are always looking for people who are dedicated and excited about helping our clients get great care in the comfort of their own homes.
Know More
About Our Carers
Our carers are professionals who have received extensive training, and they view their employment as something more than simply a job. Our staff is aware of the significance of delivering high-quality care and making a genuine impact on the lives of those we serve on a day-to-day basis.
To guarantee that our staff is comprised of only the most qualified carers, we have put in place a rigorous application and interview procedure. Personal interviews, tests of competency and psychometric analysis, checks of references and backgrounds, and background checks are some of the components of our recruiting process.
The most important thing that we consider is the answer to a straightforward question: “Would I trust this carer to care for my own loved one in their own home?”
If the answer to the question is a resounding “YES,” then we will think about adding more people to our team.
It’s only the beginning after a carer satisfies all of our stringent requirements. Every new member of our team goes through an intensive training and orientation procedure when they first join.
From day one, each member of our team is made aware of and held to the principles and standards of our organisation. We take great satisfaction in the fact that we exceed the criteria set out by the national legal system.
Our carers get training on topics that aid in the development of their abilities and increase the overall quality of care that they provide. In addition, we provide our team members with training on how to respond appropriately to various scenarios that they may face while performing their jobs.
